GLEE "The Quarterback" Preview; Listen To All Six Songs From The Cory Monteith Tribute

The McKinley High family, present and past, join together to remember and celebrate the life of Finn Hudson in the all-new "The Quarterback" episode of GLEE airing on Thursday, October 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.

The full cast will cover "Rent's" "Seasons of Love," while Lea Michele will solo on a cover of Bob Dylan/Adele's "Make You Feel My Love" during Thursday's emotional hour.

"What you will see in the episode is what really happened," Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy recently said of the tribute. "Brad [Falchuk] and Ian [Brennan] and I wrote that episode and Brad directed it, and those performances that you'll see, almost everything in that episode is from the first take of every performance because the actors and the crew had a really hard time shooting it. I've never seen a crew that you can't continue shooting because they've left the room sobbing. It was very hard. I struggled even working on it because what you're seeing is what they felt not just about Finn but Cory. It's amazing performances across the board and everybody went into it with a lot of love," he continued. "What I loved about it is when you write something like that, there's no right way to do it."

Track List:
1. "Seasons Of Love" from "Rent" — Full Cast
2. "I'll Stand By You" by The Pretenders — Sung by Mercedes (Amber Riley)
3. "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor — Sung by Sam & Artie (Chord Overstreet & Kevin McHale)
4. "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry — Sung by Santana (Naya Rivera)
5. "No Surrender" by Bruce Springsteen — Sung by Puck (Mark Salling)

GENERAL HOSPITAL's Michael Easton on if we will ever see John McBain again in some capacity
"Honestly, I don’t know the answer to that. I’d imagine…they have that character and they can put him up there with somebody else and whoever it is would probably do a great job at it. I don’t know what the situation is. I think those guys are still trying to work out their stuff. And maybe when they do, they’ll allow us to do it. I certainly miss him. I saw Bob Woods (Bo, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) two days ago, so I certainly miss seeing my friends. I enjoyed working with them and if there’s a story there that I can contribute to the show, I would…I would certainly be open to that. We’ll see how it goes. I know they’re doing great and I'm excited for them, I hope it ends up doing really really well."

Ryan Murphy Addresses GLEE's Plans For Cory Monteith's Finn Hudson Character

GLEE co-creator Ryan Murphy spoke for the first time on Friday about Cory Monteith's passing and how it will impact the show.

"We had several options," Murphy said. "We could delay shooting until November, we could delay shooting until January. But, ultimately, what we decided to do for the cast and crew was start shooting with something that we had already written. We had written two Beatles episodes in May and had been working on that tribute for four years. We just decided that it would probably be the best for everybody to get back together and be working and have grief counselors on set for two weeks, which we’re going to do. But, ultimately, we made no decisions without consulting Lea [Michele]."

NEWS: New Sheriff Lamb For 'Veronica Mars' Movie; Deidre Hall at 'She' Expo; 'Legacy Falls' Premieres; HOUSE OF CARDS Less Than 1 Percent of Shows Viewed on Netflix; Jane Lynch on Cory Monteith

The Veronica Mars Movie Adds Sheriff Lamb – But It's Not Y&R's Michael Muhney
Jerry O’Connell will play Sheriff Lamb — “No, not that Sheriff Lamb,” he clarifies in a YouTube video to fans – in Veronica Mars‘ upcoming feature-film adaptation.

He will take on the role of Dan Lamb, “a new Lamb brother I hope you love to hate,” creator Rob Thomas writes in an email to the film’s Kickstarter contributors.

Marshmallows will remember that Dan’s brother Don (played by THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS' Michael Muhney) — aka the insensitive lawman who famously told a rufie’d Veronica to “Go see the Wizard. Ask for a little backbone.” — died in Season 3 from head trauma incurred while responding to a call.

'She: An Expo for Women' adds DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Deidre Hall to lineup
Two more stars are coming to Chattanooga for "The Ultimate Girls' Weekend Out."

THE DOCTORS physician Travis Stork and DAYS star Deidre Hall are the newest additions to 'She: An Expo for Women' on July 27 and 28 at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

"Both Deidre and Travis are great additions to round out this year's She Expo," said Jason Taylor, president and general manager of the Chattanooga Times Free Press. "Deidre is a legend in daytime television with a huge following in our area, while Travis brings an entertaining, fun approach to living a healthier, more fulfilling life. She Expo will definitely have a little something for all the women in attendance."

The duo of television personalities will take the stage July 28. At 2:45 p.m., Hall will take photos with fans and sign books available for purchase on-site, while Stork will give a speech and take audience questions at 4 p.m.

Lindze Letherman on her GENERAL HOSPITAL return
"Georgie and Maxie have always had such a strong bond and Georgie was always a conscience for Maxie when she wasn't one for herself," says Letherman. "She was always the person who could get through to Maxie and be that voice of reason and that kind of compass. Nobody else could do that for her. But Maxie put the strength in Georgie, too, to take the risks that she would never take. So they really were counterbalances for each other. That's why their relationship was so wonderful."

"Legacy Falls": Daytime Soap Opera Parody Musical Hits New York Musical Theatre Festival
The show, which premiered July 16 as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival, takes a no-holds-barred (if facetious) approach to the popular television medium. Taking its title from the name of a fictional American program, “Legacy Falls” promises to “dish the dirt on soaps,” skewering all the hirings, firings and behind-the-scenes catfights between co-stars, some of whom are hiding little secrets of their own.

“Legacy Falls,” which features DAYS alum Kevin Spirtas in its cast, may seem like a winning format for a reality series, but according to composer-lyricist James Burn, daytime dramas provided ample source material “ideally suited” for musical theater, particularly in a show intended as a satire.

MAD MEN Trumps HOUSE OF CARDS on Netflix
A study, by research firm GfK, found that HOUSE OF CARDS accounted for less than 1% of TV shows viewed by regular Netflix users during a week in April. Jane Lynch Talks Cory Monteith Death: "We've Lost a Really Great Guy"—Watch the Emotional Clip
An emotional Jane Lynch talked about losing a man she referred to as a "really great guy" while appearing on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO this evening.

"Cory's one of the biggest hearts, was a real bright light. He was one of those guys that…you know, he knew he was breathing rarified air…the gifts that this wonderful show gave us," she told the audience.

"He was always aware that it was a gift and he was quite generous. He was one of those adventurous types of those people. I always admired how he would get up…you know, he would fly to Mexico, he'd throw parties for his friends. I don't think he left one day unlived. He was a real bright light in our family and we've lost a really great guy."

And that's exactly how Lynch hopes the GLEE star will be remembered.

"He once flew across the country on his own nickel to meet with a sick kid [whose] last wish was to meet him. That's just the kind of guy he was. Just a real giver."

NEWS: Michael Muhney, Marc Anthony Samuel, Lea Michele, HEROES Comic, WALKING DEAD Poster, Jim Beaver, Shailene Woodley, Nathan Fillion

Veronica Mars Movie: Is Michael Muhney returning as Sheriff Lamb?
In addition to to giving details about the official fan event happening independent of their Comic-Con panel, Rob Thomas also shared a very interesting photo from the set. The picture is pretty simple, a photo of someone's trailer door. However, the mystery comes with the name written on a piece of tape attached to the trailer, Sheriff Lamb. Marshmallows will remember that Sheriff Don Lamb (played by Michael Muhney) was killed in the third season, after being hit in the head with a baseball bat.

So, is Muhney returning? If so, how do they explain this one away? Is it something as simple as a flashback scene, or is it a case of Zombie Sheriff Lamb? A very plausible explanation could be that Lamb's little brother or sister is now Sheriff of Balboa County, where the show is set. It won't take long to find out for sure, as Thomas promises to explain the photo Wednesday (July 17). At that time, he'll also unveil a special website just for Kickstarter backers.

Marc Anthony Samuel confident his gay character on GENERAL HOSPTIAL will get love interest
"He will, he definitely will," Samuel says. "I don't know anything yet but that"s what it sounds like will happen. I think overall that"s what they"d like to see. Felix can"t be going after straight guys all the time. He knows better."

"I love everyone associated with it," he says of GH. "They are so behind the whole storyline for Felix - developing him and creating a world for him and introducing him to the Port Charles community - not making him this kind of fly by night character."

"It's been a privilege to work with people who I've seen over the years on TV," he adds. "It's kind of surreal a little bit too. I'm working with people who have been in my pop culture psyche for years. It"s been a great ride."

GLEE, Grief, and Teen Rites of Passage
Strengths and weaknesses abound. But whatever else it's about, the show is about how it feels to grow up. Mostly it feels bad! Sometimes it feels good, though. Sometimes it's empowering, sometimes we surprise ourselves. Sometimes we win. Sometimes villains get their comeuppance, but often they do not. The pursuit of fairness is frequently a letdown. Sometimes our parents disappoint us, and sometimes we disappoint them. Sometimes we're inundated with support or recognition, and sometimes we're desperately, frighteningly alone. Being a teenager is not easy. Sometimes, our friends die.

Cory Monteith Was Invaluable To GLEE. Where Does the Show Go Now?
Regardless of the cause, Cory Monteith’s death is a tragic one. He was young and talented — a gifted drummer, an awkward-as-hell dancer, and a reliable nailer of power ballads. And he was Finn Hudson, GLEE's main testament to the life-changing power of music, arguably the show’s primary message.

The loss of Finn alters the show’s landscape permanently and irrevocably. While Ryan Murphy hasn’t said much publicly about what this year holds, he negotiated a two-season renewal for GLEE last spring, and consensus is that he wouldn’t have been able to do so without some sort of master plan (or at the very least, a general sense) of how this next chunk of story plays out.

GLEE works as escapist television, and it almost always flounders when it tries to be something bigger. Season four’s misbegotten school shooting, prostate cancer, teen molestation, and eating disorder storylines – all either insensitively handled or dropped without explanation – are undeniable proof of that.
