Chloe Lanier Leaving 'General Hospital' as Nelle

Daytime Emmy winner Chloe Lanier (Nelle) is leaving ABC soap opera General Hospital and the role of Nelle. The actress has decided to embark on a primetime and film career and opted not to renew her contract. According to sources, this is Lanier's last week of taping.

Lanier first appeared on GH as a young Patricia Spencer, big sister to Luke (Anthony Geary) and Bobbie (Jackie Zeman), in a special 2015 flashback storyline. Her work was so highly regarded, the soap created a new role for her.

In 2016, Lanier debuted as Janelle "Nelle" Hayes, the secret stepsister of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Soap Opera Stars Visit 'The Talk' for Daytime Emmy After Party

On Monday, The Talk aired its annual Daytime Emmy After Party, featuring winners from Sunday night's 45th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Guests included acting winners Eileen Davidson (Ashley, The Young and the Restless), James Reynolds (Abe, Days of our Lives),  Rome Flynn (Zende, The Bold and the Beautiful), Chloe Lanier (Nelle, General Hospital), Greg Vaughan (Eric, Days of our Lives) and Camryn Grimes (Mariah, The Young and the Restless).
