'General Hospital' Actor William deVry Will Guest Star in 'Cedar Cove'

General Hospital's William deVry (Julian Jerome) will guest star in Hallmark Channel drama Cedar Cove on September 27 and October 4.

The sweeping, scenic world of Cedar Cove returns on Sunday, July 20 with Andie MacDowell starring as Olivia Lockhart, the no-nonsense Municipal Court Judge with a heart of gold and a fierce loyalty to her family and friends. MacDowell stars with Dylan Neal as Jack, Olivia's ruggedly faithful love interest; Teryl Rothery as Grace, Olivia's closest friend and encouraging shoulder to lean on; Bruce Boxleitner and Barbara Niven as Bob and Peggy Beldon, the lovably sweet owners of the local Thyme and Tide Inn; Sarah Smyth as Justine, Olivia's artistic and driven daughter; Brennan Elliott as Warren, Justine's manipulative ex-fiancé and the second season will also bring a new generation of adoring characters viewers will love!

DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE Begins Production on Second Season March 2014

Season Two of Hallmark Channel's DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE will begin production March 2014 in Vancouver with an anticipated premiere in July 2014. Andie MacDowell, Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Brennan Elliott, Bruce Boxleitner and Barbara Niven will all return to the second season of the beloved series. Celebrated television producer, Sue Tenney, whose impressive list of credits includes co-executive producer and writer for the award winning, inspirational series 7TH HEAVEN, as well as LIFE IS WILD and THE EXES, has signed on as show runner for season two.

CEDAR COVE Season 1 Finale Preview

The first season of DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE wraps up on Saturday, October 12th at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.

In "Homecoming," Justine (Sarah Smyth) and Seth (Corey Sevier) finally learn the truth about Warren’s (Brennan Elliott) corrupt business deals and dishonest double-life, putting Justine in danger as she cooperates with the FBI.

Grace (Teryl Rothery) convinces Cliff (guest star Sebastian Spence) to give dating another chance, while Olivia (Andie MacDowell) and Jack (Dylan Neal) are happy to be back together after Jack makes Cedar Cove his permanent home. But the reunited couple struggles to find Jack’s son Eric (guest star Tom Stevens), who needs to take responsibility for his unborn daughter.

As the Christmas season approaches in Cedar Cove, Olivia’s (Andie MacDowell) spirits are down as she faces "A New Life" when Jack (Dylan Neal) moves to Philadelphia after their sudden breakup. But when Jack returns for a few days to hire his replacement at the Chronicle, the lingering love for Olivia he’s been fighting returns.

Complicating his short stay even further, Jack finds one last story to cover for the paper when he notices FBI agents sleuthing around town, watching a nervous Warren Saget (Brennan Elliott).

CEDAR COVE & 'Garage Sale Mystery' Lead Hallmark Channel To Saturday Ratings Win

Audiences flocked to Hallmark Channel for its Saturday original premieres on September 14, making the network #1 in primetime on all of cable among households. Leading into the premiere of "Garage Sale Mystery", the newest episode of scripted original series, CEDAR COVE scored its highest ratings since its debut with a 2.1 household rating and averaged 281,000 W25-54. Garage Sale Mystery also garnered a 2.1 household rating, with 2.3 million total viewers joining Lori Loughlin as she scoured garage sales for clues. Reinforcing the strength of Hallmark Channel's Saturday night programming, both CEDAR COVE (8-9 p.m.) and Garage Sale Mystery (9-11 p.m.) were #1 among households in their respective time periods.

CEDAR COVE Ratings Trend Continues with Fourth Straight Week on Top

For the fourth consecutive week, Hallmark Channel's original scripted series, CEDAR COVE, is #1 in its Saturday primetime time period (8-9 p.m.). The August 10th one-hour episode delivered a 2.0 household rating with over 2 million total viewers and ranked as the #1 program of the day on cable among households. The solid audience for the new CEDAR COVE episode provided a strong lead-in for the premiere of the Hallmark Channel original movie, Reading, Writing & Romance, which was the #1 cable movie on Saturday and garnered a 1.5 household rating with 1.5 million total viewers.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Elyse Levesque on Her Career, Future Dreams and New Role on CEDAR COVE

Elyse Levesque
Elyse Levesque exuberates multiple talents including acting, modeling, a strong dance background, fluency in French, and the unique ability to master different language dialects. Realizing her passion and talent at a young age, Elyse was cast in the popular Canadian children series THE INCREDIBLE STUDIO. Shortly after this Levesque moved to Vancouver, British Columbia to pursue her dreams.

The Canadian born actor has appeared in a variety of films and television shows starring alongside big names such as Keith David in Sons of Liberty, Mimi Rogers in Storm Cell, and Lou Diamond Phillips and Robert Carlyle in MGM Universal’s STARGATE UNIVERSE, where she played Chloe Armstrong. Levesque’s other credits include her notable role in MEN IN TREES, SMALLVILLE, and Warner Brother's Journey to the Center of the Earth. She has also appeared in Canadian filmmaker Carl Bessai’s Normal, which went on to win Best Western Canadian Film at the 2007 Vancouver International Film Festival.

Levesque is currently starring as the energetic, "love life juggling" art manager Maryellen in Hallmark Channel's first original scripted series, CEDAR COVE, airing on Saturday nights.

We Love Soaps recently spoke with Levesque about her career and her latest role as Maryellen in CEDAR COVE. Read our exclusive interview below:

WE LOVE SOAPS: It seems like you have been in the business in one form or another for a long time. Did you always want to be an actor?
ELYSE LEVESQUE: As long as I can remember I wanted to be an actor; that or a mermaid. [Laughs] It turns out actor was just more feasible.

Hallmark Channel Tops Cable Ratings on Saturday Thanks To CEDAR COVE & 'Second Chances'

Boosted by the network's original scripted primetime series, DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE, and the original movie premiere of Second Chances, Hallmark Channel dominated cable on Saturday as the #1 cable network in primetime from 8-11 p.m. on July 27.  CEDAR COVE maintained its ratings momentum from the previous week's movie pilot debut with its first 1-hour episode ranking as the #1 series of the day and #2 program of the day on cable. Following the episode, the premiere of original movie Second Chances ranked as the #1 program on cable for Saturday and #1 movie on cable for the week.

Strong Ratings For DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE Pilot; Next Episode Airs July 27

Hallmark Channel's foray into scripted primetime programming captured the hearts of viewers Saturday night, with the 2-hour movie premiere of its first original series, DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE, becoming the #1-rated ad-supported cable movie of the week and day, attracting over 3.8 million unduplicated viewers, and securing a 2.4 household rating. The pilot was also the #3-rated drama premiere on cable among households this summer to-date.
