NEWS ROUNDUP: Life Lessons From ONE LIFE, Dark Shadows, Lauralee Bell, Daniela Castro

ONE LIFE TO LIVE: Life Lessons in the Soapsuds
"As cliché as my favorite soap’s title was, the realization that I had only one life to live was the show’s greatest gift to me as an adult."

New Dark Shadows Image Reveals Staring Contest Between Johnny Depp and Eva Green
The tone of the movie is soap operatic. It's heightened. Everything is heightened and grand. Johnny is just dug in and big. [Starts hamming it up] "Didn't you see? How... could you? My god, woman!" There's an absurdist element to it. It's very funny. I don't think people are expecting it to be as funny as it is.

NEWS ROUNDUP: NFL Hurting GOOD WIFE Ratings, GLEE Holiday Album, Hayden Panettiere Streaker

THE GOOD WIFE Taking Late Hits by NFL Overruns
The show's relocation this season to Sunday nights has resulted in the loss of about 2 million viewers — and outright frustration for a number of its fans, especially those who make a point to record the episodes on DVRs.

The problem is one that shows on CBS have lived with for a generation: late-afternoon National Football League games that run past their scheduled broadcast time. This season, for example, THE GOOD WIFE has started as late as 9:29 p.m. Eastern time — as it did on Oct. 30 — not at 9 p.m. as scheduled.

Monday Night Ratings: TERRA NOVA Up, CASTLE Down, GOSSIP GIRL Steady, HART OF DIXIE Down

TERRA NOVA was up almost 24% with about 7.7 million viewers and a 2.6 rating for Adults 18-49.

CASTLE was down about 13.8% with about 11.3 million viewers and a 2.5 Adults 18-49 rating.

GOSSIP GIRL was steady at about 1.3 million viewers and a rating of 0.6 for Adults 18-49. In the target demo of Women 18-34, it rated a 1.0.
