'Jane the Virgin' Midseason Finale Sneak Peek: Mateo's First Christmas

Jane and Rafael are still at odds on tonight's Jane the Virgin.
It's Mateo's first Christmas on this week's new episode of Jane the Virgin, airing Monday, December 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

In "Chapter Thirty" (the fall finale), Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) are still at odds with each other as they are about to celebrate Mateo's first Christmas. Jane discovers that the scholarship she thought she had been awarded isn't quite that and now needs to find a way to pay for grad school. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) has employed an intern and is having trouble trusting him. Petra (Yael Grobglas) is struggling with the latest dilemma her mother has gotten them into. Meanwhile, Michael (Brett Dier) is trying to find Luisa's mother who he now suspects is not dead and may be involved with Sin Rostro.

'Jane the Virgin' Sneak Peek: Black Friday

Jane learns some important life lessons on this week's new episode of Jane the Virgin, airing Monday, November 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

In "Chapter Twenty-Nine," Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) interview potential babysitters to help take some of the pressure off everyone, but Jane has specific and lengthy requirements. Jane attends her graduate school's Christmas party in hopes of finding the perfect writing advisor, but things don't go quite as planned. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) is faced with a tough decision about the direction of his life. Petra (Yael Grobglas) wants a friendship with Jane, but her mother's antics once again thwart those efforts. Meanwhile, Michael's (Brett Dier) suspicions have turned out to be true and he thinks he has discovered a lead on a possible rival to Sin Rostro.

'Jane the Virgin' Sneak Peek: Adam Rodriguez Guest Stars as Jane's Professor

Jane learns some important life lessons on this week's new episode of Jane the Virgin, airing Monday, November 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

In "Chapter Twenty-Eight," Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) begin estate planning for Mateo, but when Jane realizes that Mateo will inherit millions, she worries he will become spoiled. Jane is also finally starting graduate school, but her professor (guest star Adam Rodriguez, who is also currently appearing as Laz on Empire) is not sympathetic to her situation. Rogelio's (Jaime Camil) famous show is ending, so he decides to create his own show, with Xo's (Andrea Navedo) encouragement. Petra (Yael Grobglas) is shocked to learn what she is having and turns to Jane for advice and help in getting her mother out of prison. Meanwhile, after Michael's (Brett Dier) issues at work, he has decided to go rogue and is even more determined to catch Sin Rostro.

'Jane the Virgin' Sneak Peek: Britney Spears Guest Stars

Pop star Britney Spears guest stars on this week's new episode of Jane the Virgin, airing Monday, November 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

In "Chapter Twenty-Seven," Jane (Gina Rodriguez) thinks she is finally ready to make a decision about her love life. Alba (Ivonne Coll) has taken the proper steps to become a citizen, but Xo's (Andrea Navedo) past might make it more difficult than anyone was expecting. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) learns that his nemesis, Britney Spears, is at the Marbella Hotel and he is determined to confront her about their past. Michael (Brett Dier) is so caught up in his ongoing feud with Rafael (Justin Baldoni) that he ends up in big trouble at work. Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Groblas) gets an offer from her ex Milos (guest star Max Bird-Ridnell) she just can't refuse.

'Jane the Virgin' Sneak Peek: Joint Custody

Secrets are revealed on this week's new episode of Jane the Virgin, airing Monday, November 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

In "Chapter Twenty-Six," as Jane (Gina Rodriguez) tries to juggle motherhood and school, she forgets to plan Lina's (guest star Diana Guerrero) surprise 25th birthday party leading to friction between the best friends. Rafael (Justin Baldoni) tells Jane that he still wants a romantic relationship with her, but she is blindsided when he asks for joint custody. Petra (Yael Grobglas) tries to enlist Michael's (Brett Dier) help to keep Jane and Rafael apart. Rogelio's (Jamie Camil) ex-wife, Luciana (guest star Kate del Castillo), is blackmailing him with secrets from years ago to get her role back on "The Passions of Santos." Meanwhile, Michael gets a new partner and a possible lead in the Sin Rostro case.

'Jane the Virgin' Sneak Peek: The Godfather

In "Chapter Twenty-Five," when a slot opens up in the graduate program that Jane (Gina Rodriguez) has been waiting for, she is faced with her first big motherhood dilemma - leaving Mateo sooner than expected. Rafael (Justin Baldoni) is still reeling from Petra's (Yael Grobglas) news as he tries to help plan Mateo's baptism with Jane. Xo (Andrea Navedo) helps Rogelio (Jaime Camil) confront his past even though it makes Xo uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Michael (Brett Dier) takes some advice from Rogelio about how to handle Jane, but it is easier said than done for him.

'Jane the Virgin' Sneak Peek: Jane and Michael Flashback

In "Chapter Twenty-Four," Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is finally in a rhythm with Mateo, but finds herself out of step with Rafael (Justin Baldoni) and Michael (Brett Dier) and the potential love triangle that is brewing between them. In order to not be sued for missing their Vegas arrangement, Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) must perform on a cruise ship. Petra (Yael Grobglas) and Rafael are suspicious of Lachlan (guest star Michael Rady) and his recent business proposal, but are soon faced with an even more shocking revelation. Meanwhile, Alba (Ivonne Coll) makes a very big decision that will impact her life.

'Jane the Virgin' Sneak Peek: Three Generations of Villanueva Women Bond

One of last season's best new shows, Jane the Virgin, kicks off its sophomore effort tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, following the premiere of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. If you're looking for a serial that is well-written, superbly acted and is full of heart, I can't recommend Jane enough.

In "Chapter Twenty-Three," chaos ensues after Jane (Gina Rodriguez) discovers Mateo's abduction, especially when they all learn Sin Rostro is involved and demanding a ransom. Trying to help, Rogelio (Jaime Camil) tweets about Mateo's kidnapping making the Villanueva family targets of the paparazzi.

Despite everything that has happened, Jane must also focus on motherhood and turns to Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Alba (Ivonne Coll) for help, leaving Rafael (Justin Baldoni) feeling left out. Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Grobglas) is conflicted with what to do with Rafael's remaining sperm sample.

Jane (Golden Globe winner Gina Rodriguez) gets a big break in her career, but it all seems too good to be true, especially when it involves Rogelio (Jaime Camil). Rafael (Justin Baldoni) is stressed about Sin Rostro's connection to the hotel and begins to fear for his family's safety. Meanwhile, Petra's (Yael Grobglas) past is quickly catching up with her and she is disheartened when she learns the truth about someone very close to her.

As a hurricane rips through Miami, Jane (Golden Globe winner Gina Rodriguez) is forced to stay at the Marbella, but the storm soon becomes the least of her concerns. When Rogelio (Jaime Camil) hears about Alba’s (Ivonne Coll) condition, he rushes to Xo’s (Andrea Navedo) side at the hospital to comfort her. Rafael (Justin Baldoni) is reinstated as boss, but he is soon faced with a difficult decision regarding layoffs at the hotel. Nicole Gale Anderson, Britne Oldford, Merritt Patterson and Brett Dier Preview RAVENSWOOD and Talk Holiday Traditions on WE LOVE SOAPS TV

On the latest episode of WE LOVE SOAPS TV, Roger Newcomb traveled to Cucina & Co. in Rockefeller Center on December 8th to speak with the stars of ABC Family on the red carpet of the network's "25 Days of Christmas" Winter Wonderland event. Following the red carpet, the actors headed outside to The Rink at Rockefeller for ice skating.

RAVENSWOOD returns on Tuesday, January 7 (9-10 p.m. ET/PT) with the new episode "Revival." Fresh off his trip to Rosewood, Caleb struggles to deal with the aftermath of his brief time with Miranda (Nicole Gale Anderson) on the other side. Remy (Britne Oldford) realizes her dreams may be the best clue they have into understanding the pact, but she unwittingly attracts something that is determined to make sure Remy doesn't wake up. And Miranda decides to haunt Mrs. Grunwald for answers but discovers Grunwald may have a ghostly friend of her own.

Meanwhile, Luke (Brett Dier) and Olivia (Merritt Patterson) are unnerved by Collins' increasing attention towards their mother, and Olivia makes a major decision about Dillon, without realizing his true motivations.

The gang makes discoveries both horrifying and intriguing while investigating what they're up against in "Scared to Death," the midseason finale episode of ABC Family's serial drama RAVENSWOOD, airing Tuesday, November 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Just when Caleb thought he was getting answers to what may be haunting Ravenswood, he hits a dead end and is left with more questions. Miranda tries to prove that she's where she wants to be, but Caleb senses she's in grave danger. In order to prove to Luke that something otherworldly is happening, the gang decides to hold a séance in "Believe," an all new episode of ABC Family’s original series RAVENSWOOD, airing Tuesday, November 5th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Luke is resistant when Caleb and Remy try to convince him that Ravenswood is being plagued by the supernatural. To convince him, they decide to try and contact the “other side.”

Olivia begins her own investigation into her father’s death, which turns much more sinister than she was expecting.

Remy grows more concerned about her mother, who recently returned from Afghanistan.

Brett Dier & Elizabeth Whitson Join RAVENSWOOD

ABC Family announced today that it has cast two new series regulars in the PRETTY LITTLE LIARS spin-off series, RAVENSWOOD. Brett Dier will star as Abel, a lone wolf with an old soul whose trust is hard won but who is loyal until the end, and Elizabeth Whitson will star as Olivia, a once carefree and effortlessly happy spirit who has recently experienced hardship, leaving her questioning what's important and what no longer matters. Abel and Olivia are twins whom fans will first meet during the PRETTY LITTLE LIARS special Halloween episode.
