Brett Claywell on His New Celebrity Gamers' Charity Stiks Gaming
"I was an actor for 10 years and coming out of ONE LIFE TO LIVE I felt like there was a void in the celebrity charitable world. Michael Wasserman, my partner, has focused on organizing successful charitable events. We put our heads together and with his expertise in charity events and my connections with the gaming world, we came up with this idea. We could utilize the celebrity base we know and create events and gaming leagues. The platform we’re launching in January 2013 will be on www.StiksGaming.com."

Moving Day with OLTL - Brett Claywell Interview

We Love Soaps had the opportunity to visit the new ONE LIFE TO LIFE set in Manhattan on February 16th and tour the new digs.  During this time we spoke with several cast members about their current experience on the show, the big move, and reflections on their time in Llanview.  Please enjoy this series of interviews.

BRETT CLAYWELL ("Kyle Lewis")

We Love Soaps: It's so great to see you again. What do you think of the new digs?
Brett Claywell: It’s amazing.  We have so much more area, so much more space. We’re really excited what this represents for the future of ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

We Love Soaps: Llanview has had a pretty rough week with the blizzard.
Brett Claywell: It has.  But it’s kind of fitting we’re in the middle of a  real New York snow storm too.  There’s a lot up in the air.  It’s been fun to film, but more fun to watch.

We Love Soaps: Kyle has been on the sidelines during this storm, but his relationship with Fish is in for a big obstacle.
Brett Claywell: I think most relationships change when there is a child brought into the picture.  I think this one is going to change more than most because one of them is not involved with the child.  It’s exciting to see where it goes.  As with every relationship, Kyle and Fish have been told in a way that’s honest and can blend with any demographic.  It will be exciting to see how this couple handles this new obstacle.

We Love Soaps: What can you tell us about Kyle’s feelings about this baby?

Brett Claywell and Scott Evans: The Out Interview

In a new interview for Out.com, Brett Claywell and Scott Evans talk about their ONE LIFE LIVE pairing as Kyle and Fish.

The characters will share a kiss on August 6. What was it like taping a same-sex smooch?
SE: I don’t think it’s what people are expecting. The kiss comes from a different place. People will just have to wait and see how it plays out.

Were you guys nervous filming the kiss at all? Did you guys have to go out and get drunk the night before?
SE: From the beginning, Brett and I have been friends. He’s extremely easy to work with. Of course, there are nerves, but that happens every day when you come into work. I think we went in with the intent that we’re both professionals --
BC: Throughout this entire process I had to confront a lot of my beliefs in my life, in my acting and my career. I came to realize the job of an actor is to tell the truth of a character truthfully. Whatever emotion you’re supposed to have, whether it’s love, hate, or jealousy, you must honor those emotions. That day wasn’t hard for me because Kyle truly loves Fish. While I’m in that character, that’s what I portray -- love for Fish, which is where this upcoming kiss originates. The kiss comes from love not passion.
