DALLAS star Brenda Strong / Photo Credit: Mark Seliger
Brenda Strong previewed what's ahead on TNT's new DALLAS in an interview with Celebuzz.

Ann is basically going to unravel. She’s going to have a mini breakdown, and then its like a phoenix rising from the ashes. She’s going to come back stronger than she was before. Ann’s been given by the writers a very, very big arc in this first season. I’m really grateful, by the time I got the script for episode eight, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I called our writer and said, “Thank you for giving me such an interesting woman to play.” I love Ann. She’s surprising me and every time she turns around she does something more interesting, isn’t it great?

What do you think? Are you enjoying Bobby with Ann?

NEW DALLAS: Brenda Strong Channels Mother, Grandmother & Ann Richards as New Mrs. Bobby Ewing

Aside from her role as Mary Alice on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, Brenda Strong is also buy working on TNT's new version of DALLAS, as Ann Ryland Ewing, Bobby's wife.

She explains to THR more about her new role:

She has gone toe to toe with J.R. [Larry Hagman] already and kind of read him the riot act by Episode 4, which is great. It’s interesting, because when I was constructing this character. I kept, for some reason, going back to my mother and my grandmother and also Ann Richards of Texas. There's an integrity and a strength to women who have been raised in rough country. And my grandmother was the daughter of pioneers as was my grandfather and they were farmers. And they worked the land and there is a grounded value system that becomes inherent in knowing what's real and what's powerful.
The new DALLAS premieres Summer 2012. Will you be watching?
