1974: Douglass Watson made his first appearance as Mackenzie Cory on Another World. Robert Emhardt, who played the role for just over a year, had left the show in June. Watson's first scene was with Iris (Beverlee McKinsey) and Louise. He earned three Emmy nominations for his work at AW during his 15-year run, winning twice (1980, 1981). He also won a Daytime Emmy in 1978 for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Religious Programming.

Upcoming web series 'Weight' adds Trent Dawson, Dee Freeman and more to the cast
Emmy and Indie Series Award-winning actress Martha Byrne stars in Weight. The cast will include Allison Smith, Peyton Ella, Trent Dawson, Dee Freeman, Maitely Weismann, Bradley White and Kate West (daughter of Maura West and Scott DeFreitas).

Washington Nationals All-Star pitcher Lucas Giolito is the son of two former 'As the World Turns' actors
His father, Rick Giolito, played Nick Costello in As The World Turns and produced classic video game Medal of Honor. His mother, Lindsay Frost, has appeared in television shows from Hill Street Blues and L.A. Law to Lost and Crossing Jordan. She also played Betsy on As The World Turns in the 1980s. His uncle, Mark Frost, co-created Twin Peaks.

'Boardwalk Empire' Fifth and Final Season Begins September 7

The Emmy-winning HBO drama series Boardwalk Empire will return for its eight-episode, fifth and final season September 7, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming.

From Terence Winter, Emmy-winning writer of The Sopranos and Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese, Boardwalk Empire is set in the Prohibition era and chronicles the life and times of Enoch "Nucky" Thompson, the undisputed leader of Atlantic City. The first four seasons took place during the 1920s. In the final season, which takes place in the depths of the Depression in 1931, Nucky recalls his Atlantic City roots and plots a post-Prohibition future.

Season four credits: Created by Terence Winter, Boardwalk Empire is executive produced by Terence Winter, Martin Scorsese, Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Tim Van Patten and Howard Korder; co-executive producers, Eugene Kelly and Eric Overmyer; consulting producer, Dennis Lehane; producers, Joseph Iberti and Rick Yorn.

SAG Awards Nominations 2014: The Complete List

The 20th Screen Actors Guild Awards nominees were announced on Thursday.  The ceremony will be held on January 18 at the Shrine Auditorium & Exposition Center in Los Angeles. The guild will honor Rita Moreno with the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award.  Below is a complete list of nominees:

Nucky takes inventory after being warned of a skunk in his cellar. On the lam following a close call, Chalky and Daughter take refuge outside Wilmington with Oscar Boneau, his mentor from years ago. Gillian considers selling her mansion and starting a new life with Roy Phillips.

The fourth season of BOARDWALK EMPIRE continues with a new episode ("Marriage and Hunting") on Sunday, November 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

Nucky (Steve Buscemi) refuses to back Chalky (Michael Kenneth Williams) in his conflict with Narcisse (Jeffrey Wright). Julia (Wrenn Schmidt) considers her options after Gillian (Gretchen Mol) makes her custody case in court. In Cicero, Van Alden (Michael Shannon) stands up to Capone (Stephen Graham) and comes clean to O'Banion (Arron Shiver). Rothstein (Michael Stuhlbarg) looks to trade an insurance benefit for a cash infusion.

The fourth season of BOARDWALK EMPIRE continues with a new episode ("Erlkönig") on Sunday, October 6th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

Nucky (Steve Buscemi) heads to Philadelphia to deal with the fallout from Willie's (Ben Rosenfield) liquor fiasco. Eddie Kessler (Anthony Laciura) is detained by Agent Knox (Brian Geraghty), who uses physical and psychological tactics to elicit information about Nucky's organization. A desperate Gillian (Gretchen Mol) turns to an unexpected source to score a fix, and is rebuffed in her attempt to reunite with Tommy (Brady Noon). In Cicero, Van Alden (Michael Shannon) is recruited by the Capones to pay an election-day visit to factory workers who are opposed to the Capones' candidate of choice.

The fourth season of BOARDWALK EMPIRE continues with a new episode ("All In") on Sunday, September 29th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

Nucky gets to know Arnold Rothstein over a card game, and sizes up an unexpected partner for his Tampa land deal. A newly promoted Eddie Kessler gets detoured after making a train-station delivery. When one of their collectors is incapacitated, Al and Frank Capone decide to finish his route, enlisting a reluctant Van Alden to tag along. Agent Knox fills Hoover in on the Thompson operation, vowing to exploit Nucky’s weakest link. Chalky is intrigued by Daughter Maitland’s presence. Dunn Purnsley goes to Harlem, and is courted by Valentin Narcisse. Willie and his college roommate, Clayton, carry a practical joke too far.

BOARDWALK EMPIRE Renewed For Fifth Season

Following the hit series' fourth-season debut on Sept. 8, HBO has renewed BOARDWALK EMPIRE for a fifth season, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming.

"Thanks to Terry Winter, Martin Scorsese, Tim Van Patten, Howard Korder and their stellar team, BOARDWALK EMPIRE remains in a class by itself," said Lombardo. "I look forward to another electrifying season of this impeccably crafted series."

BOARDWALK EMPIRE "Acres of Diamonds" Preview

The fourth season of BOARDWALK EMPIRE continues with a new episode ("Acres of Diamonds") on Sunday, September 22nd at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

Nucky has reservations about investing in a Tampa land deal engineered by transplanted bootlegger Bill McCoy. While there, he meets speakeasy owner Sally Wheet. Valentin Narcisse books a sexy jazz singer, Daughter Maitland, to perform at the Onyx, and gauges Dunn Purnsley’s allegiance to Chalky. Willie, Eli’s son, turns to Mickey Doyle and his bootleg warehouse to elevate his social standing at college. Gillian agrees to pose as Roy Phillips’ wife to impress a possible partner. Harrow tries to bury his past, though not before taking care of some unfinished business with Emma.
