Cody and her unborn baby are rushed into surgery after the brutal attack on this week's episode of Blood & Oil, airing Sunday, November 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Former As the World Turns star Peyton List makes her third appearance as Emma.

In "Convergence," the brutal attack on Cody unites friends and enemies alike, as Hap takes the opportunity to try to pull a rival into the fold. A vengeful Billy is determined to uncover the person responsible for the crime and, against his better judgment, finds himself looking to Wick for help. Meanwhile, Wick is at his wits' end when he learns of Gary's involvement and decides it's time to take matters into his own hands. And, Carla senses Hap is having an affair with Jules and she is not afraid to confront this head on.

In the sneak peek video below, just when Cody seems to get better, things take a bad turn.

'Blood & Oil' Sneak Peek: Father to Father

Don Johnson stars as Hap Briggs on Blood & Oil.
Billy crosses Hap on tonight's episode of Blood & Oil, airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The Young and the Restless alum Wilson Beth returns as Finn, while former As the World Turns star Peyton List makes her second appearance as Emma.

In "Rocks and Hard Places," Wick's shortcomings are magnified when his sister, and potential rival, Lacey officially joins the family business. Meanwhile, Billy attempts to blackmail Hap with information Cody shared with him in confidence, further putting their marriage on the line. Unable to shake suspicions about his son, Hap pays a visit to Sherriff Tip, who reveals that Wick may know more about the robbery than he's letting on. Later, Gary proves a continuing threat to Wick -- but when Wick tries to fight back -- it's Cody who is put in harm's way.

In the sneak peek video below, Sheriff Tip tells Hap that Wick may know more about the robbery than he's saying.

'Blood & Oil' Sneak Peek: Billy Lefever Goes Head to Head with Wick Briggs

Billy gets back into business with Hap on tonight's episode of Blood & Oil, airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.  The Young and the Restless alum Wilson Beth guest stars as Finn.

In "The Ripple Effect," no longer suspecting Wick of any wrongdoing in the oil heist, Hap extends an olive branch when he brings his son in on an exciting new venture. But when Billy attempts to join the deal, tensions soon reach a boil. However, we will soon learn that this deal isn't quite as rosy as Hap promised. Meanwhile, Sheriff Tip arrests a prime suspect in the robbery, creating additional pressure for Wick. And AJ's true motives are revealed as he attempts to use his growing relationship with Hap's daughter, Lacey, as a way to undermine Briggs Oil. Also, Hap rekindles his relationship with his son's girlfriend, Jules, as the stakes of the father-son love triangle heat.

'Blood & Oil' Sneak Peek: Billy Makes a New Deal

Hap's brush with death leaves him determined to find the culprits on tonight's episode of Blood & Oil, airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

In "The Ripple Effect," the aftermath of the robbery has suspicions flying as all signs indicate an inside job at Briggs Oil. Wick scrambles to do everything he can to hide his involvement, but his accomplice may prove to be too much of a wild card and expose Wick's part in the crime that nearly killed his father.

Meanwhile, the arrival of Hap's daughter, Lacey, stokes a rivalry with Carla, Hap's wife. Also, Billy continues to be seduced by Hap's world and jumps into another deal with him without consulting his wife, Cody.

'Blood & Oil' Premieres September 27 on ABC, Searching for The American Dream in Rock Springs, North Dakota

Billy and Cody Lefever head to North Dakota to pursue their dreams on the series premiere of Blood & Oil, airing Sunday, September 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

In the "Pilot" episode, Billy and Cody Lefever are a young, recently married couple with dreams bigger than their working-class upbringing. Following the largest oil discovery in American history, they pack up and move from their small city to the boomtown of Rock Springs, North Dakota, where a millionaire is made every day. Intent on tapping into this explosion of wealth, they set out to start their own business, which they’ve financed with every penny to their name.

After a car crash leaves them broke, Billy becomes increasingly eager to cash in on this modern day gold rush. When he tries his hand in the oil business, he crosses paths with the baron of the Bakken, Hap Briggs and his equally powerful wife, Carla, as they embark on expanding their empire into new territory. But tangling with titans is not for the faint of heart and when Billy bets big, it causes Cody to question his intentions, and ultimately their marriage.

The premiere sets up the story of Hap and Billy versus Hap's rotten son, Wick. It's an interesting beginning, and other than being set in the oil business, there was nothing that particularly reminded me of Dallas. Johnson and Crawford and appealing leads ("the good guys") while Foster is the perfect foil.

ABC Fall 2015 Premiere Dates Announced: 'Nashville,' Grey's Anatomy,' 'Scandal,' Blood & Oil' & 'The Muppets'

ABC's THE MUPPETS Premieres Tuesday September 22 2015 8/7c
The Muppets is a serialized workplace drama?
ABC has nailed down the fall dates and times for the start of the new season.

I'm curious about Blood & Oil and The Muppets as prospective new primetime soaps.

The Don Johnson vehicle smells like a cold weather Dallas. It's the same project once titled Boom and then Oil.

Meanwhile, the description of the newest incarnation of the famous furry franchise promises "to explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires."

A puppet Passions? You never know. What's clear is that, for better or for worse, this isn't a variety show. And, it features human-Muppet romance!

ABC Announces 2015-2016 Lineup: New Soap 'OIL' Airs Sundays This Fall

ABC announced its 2015-16 slate of programming on Tuesday, including the addition of 10 new series. Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group, unveiled the network’s new lineup to the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall.

"Our new slate of shows continues the momentum from last year. ABC was the most buzzed about network, and the only major network to hold on to its audience and to grow in the target demo. Our 2015-16 schedule, with new shows and returning favorites that reflect our commitment to world-class storytelling, will solidify ABC’s place as the network that raises the bar for what viewers expect from broadcast television," said Lee.

ABC is the only major network to increase its Adult 18-49 audience during the 2014-15 season.  ABC delivered 7 of the Top 20 entertainment series on broadcast TV this season in Adults 18-49, placing 4 of the Top 10 and claiming 3 of the Top 5 dramas: Modern Family and Scandal tie at No. 4, How to Get Away with Murder – No. 9, Grey’s Anatomy – No. 10, Once Upon a Time – No. 12, while black-ish and The Bachelor tie at No. 18.

New series The Catch, Dr. Ken, The Family, The Muppets, Of Kings and Prophets, OIL, Quantico, The Real O’Neals, Uncle Buck and Wicked City will join the lineup.
