'Elena and the Secret of Avalor' Set to Premiere November 20, Cast Includes Sara Ramirez, Ana Ortiz, Darcy Rose Byrnes

Elena and the Secret of Avalor, a special television movie event, premieres as a special simulcast Sunday, November 20 at 7 p.m. ET, on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. The TV movie tells the backstory of how Elena was imprisoned in her magical amulet by the evil sorceress Shuriki, voiced by legendary actress Jane Fonda, and eventually set free by Princess Sofia of Enchancia. Elena's anthem "My Time," performed by Aimee Carrero (voice of Princess Elena), makes its debut in the special TV movie. Elena and the Secret of Avalor will also be available on the Disney Channel and Disney Junior apps and Disney Channel VOD beginning Sunday, November 20.

On October 18, Disney Publishing will release a hardcover picture book titled "Elena of Avalor: Elena and the Secret of Avalor."

In addition to Carrero and Fonda, the voice cast includes: Ariel Winter as Sofia; Sara Ramirez as Queen Miranda; Chris Parnell, Yvette Nicole Brown and Carlos Alazraqui as the jaquins Migs, Luna and Skylar, respectively; Jenna Ortega as Princess Isabel; Ana Ortiz as Rafa; Darcy Rose Byrnes as Princess Amber; Tyler Merna as Prince James; Travis Willingham as King Roland; Barbara Dirickson as Flora; Emiliano Díez as Francisco; Julia Vera as Luisa; Christian Lanz as Chancellor Esteban; Jillian Rose Reed as Naomi; Joseph Haro as Mateo; Jorge Diaz as Gabe; Keith Ferguson as Zuzo; and Joe Nunez as Armando.

Elena and the Secret of Avalor combines the creative teams from Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor. The TV movie was written by Craig Gerber and directed by Jamie Mitchell, both of whom serve as executive producers. John Kavanaugh serves as songwriter/music director and Kevin Kliesch is the composer. "Elena and the Secret of Avalor" is a production of Disney Television Animation and carries a TV-Y parental guideline.

For 2016 to date, Elena of Avalor and Sofia the First have reached 75 million Total Viewers, generated 51 million consumer engagements on the Disney Channel/Disney Junior apps, and rank among the Top 5 animated cable TV series in Kids 2-11 and across kids cable networks in Total Viewers. Furthermore, "Sofia the First" is the No. 1 cable TV series among Girls 2-5.

'Devious Maids' Renewed for Fourth Season on Lifetime

A month after its superb third season ended, Devious Maids has been renewed for a fourth by Lifetime, it was announced today by Liz Gateley, Executive Vice President of Programming for Lifetime. The network has ordered 10 episodes of the primetime soap, which stars Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramírez, Roselyn Sánchez, Judy Reyes and Susan Lucci.

Regarding the announcement, Gateley, said, “Devious Maids is a steady hit that continues to deliver for us. It has found a loyal audience that is socially engaged with the show. The entire writing and production team worked hard to up the storytelling this year and the cast delivered great performances, so the show just gets better and better. I am very excited to renew it for another season.”

'Devious Maids' Will Return in 2015 For Season 3

Lifetime will air the third season of Devious Maids in 2015.
Lifetime has renewed its hit series Devious Maids for a 13-episode third season. Executive produced by Marc Cherry and Eva Longoria, Devious Maids Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramírez, Roselyn Sánchez, Edy Ganem, Judy Reyes and Susan Lucci.

"We are thrilled to be bringing Devious Maids back for another season. Marc Cherry has created a uniquely twisted world that blends his comic wit with devilishly ingenious characters and plot twists," said Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Lifetime.

Devious Maids is set in a world where murder and mayhem collide in the mansions of Beverly Hills' wealthiest and most powerful families. Class warfare has never been as fun and dirty as it is in the tiny enclave where the staff is as clever, witty and downright devilish as their employers. The series centers on a close-knit group of maids, Marisol (Ortiz), Rosie (Ramírez), Carmen (Sánchez), Valentina (Ganem) and Zoila (Reyes), who are bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and the melodramatic universe that engulfs their employers. Devious Maids also stars Grant Show, Rebecca Wisocky, Tom Irwin, Drew Van Acker and Mark Deklin.

Season 2 of Devious Maids, which concluded July 13th, fueled Lifetime to be the number one cable network in its Sunday 10-11pm time period with Total Females, Women 18+, Women 25-54 and Women 18-49. In its freshman season, the series was Lifetime's fastest-growing drama ever.

Inspired by the hit telenovela Ellas son… la alegría del hogar and created by Marc Cherry, Devious Maids is produced by ABC Studios.

Season 3, which will air next year, will be executive produced by Cherry, Sabrina Wind (Desperate Housewives) and Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives). Joining them is the creative team of Ric Swartzlander (Cougar Town), Brian Tanen (Desperate Housewives), Larry Shuman (Kissing Miranda), David Lonner, John Mass and Televisa USA’s Paul Presburger and Michael Garcia.

Lifetime's hit primetime serial Devious Maids continues its second season with a new episode ("The Visit") on Sunday, June 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Unbeknownst to Rosie (Dania Ramírez), Reggie (Reggie Austin) moves forward with his plans to tear apart the Miller household. Genevieve (Susan Lucci) is surprised when her estranged mother (June Squibb) shows up at her door thanks to Zoila. Marisol (Ana Ortiz) deals with a gossipy new hire at the Deering mansion. In the episode, "Dangerous Liaisons," Marisol (Ana Ortiz) discovers some shocking news about her fiancé Nicholas (Mark Deklin) and Opal (Joanna Adler). Dissatisfied with the doctor that Didi's (Tiffany Hines) provided for Kenneth, Rosie (Dania Ramirez) takes Kenneth (Willie C. Carpenter) to a specialist who provides them newfound hope. Carmen (Roselyn Sánchez) prepares for her performance debut in front of industry bigwigs, but when reality hits she struggles to perform. Genevieve (Susan Lucci) tries to show her support by inviting Zoila (Judy Reyes) to a luncheon. Increasingly wary of Adrian's (Tom Irwin) behavior, Evelyn (Rebecca Wisocky) finds comfort elsewhere. Zoila intervenes with Valentina's job, while ignoring the problems arising at home with her husband, Pablo. Rosie starts a new job working for Kenneth Miller (Willie C. Carpenter), a post-stroke patriarch, and his dysfunctional family. Marisol tries to make peace with Opal. Peri threatens Spence into staying in their marriage. 'Devious Maids' Season 2 Premiere Preview

Lifetime's hit primetime serial Devious Maids kicks off its second season on Sunday, April 20, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
