'The Bold and the Beautiful' Puts Aaron D. Spears on Contract

Aaron D. Spears has signed a contract with CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, after recurring as both Justin Barber on B&B and Commissioner Raines on NBC's Days of our Lives.

Spears first joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful as Justin in 2009. Justin is the biological father of Marcus Forrester, and was married to Marcus' mother, Donna Logan. Justin is an attorney for Spencer Publications, and close friend and ally to Bill Spencer. He debuted on Days in September 2016 as Commissioner Raines.

Aaron D. Spears to Make 'Days of our Lives' Debut on September 9

The Bold and the Beautiful and Being Mary Jane actor Aaron D. Spears will be appearing on NBC soap opera Days of our Lives starting on September 9. He will play Lt. Raines.

“He’s a character that I guess you could say goes by the book,” Spears tells Soap Opera Digest about his new alter ego, who will share scenes with Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Casey Moss (JJ) and Brandon Beemer (Shawn).

The hunky actor plays Being Mary Jane's Mark Bradley, and recurs as Justin Barber on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Spears was in his senior year at Delaware State University in Dover when the NFL’s New York Jets extended an invitation for him to try out at training camp. However, an elective course in speech gave him a change of heart.

“There was a play production, and the professor was going to give me a B,” said Spears, 41, who wanted an A to try to maintain his 3.5 GPA. “There was no way out of getting a B unless I joined the production. So I did a little part in the play, and I just fell in love with it, and I turned down the Jets.”
