Telemundo is revamping their daytime schedule this week on Tuesday, May 28 with the premieres of a pair of telenovelas: AMAR DE NUEVO and 5 VIUDAS SUELTAS.AMAR DE NUEVO (10:30 a.m. ET) is a 2011 Mexican production from Telemundo, a spin-off of the network’s 2005 telenovela AMARTE ASÍ (aka FRIJOLITO).
Child actor Alejandro Felipe reprises his role as Frijolito, who in AMAR DE NUEVO, is killed in a tragic car accident. He returns to earth as an angel to answer the prayers of his best friend, Palito, played by Jorge Eduardo García (UNA MAID EN MANHATTAN). The accident that killed Frijolito also put Palito’s mother, Veronica, in a coma and killed her husband. Frijolito wakes Veronica from her coma and to earn his wings, sets out to find a new father for Palito. Veronica doesn’t believe she will ever love again, but then Roman, a widower with three children of his own, enters the picture.
