Amber Tamblyn lands FOX pilotTamblyn has teamed with HOUSE executive producer Katie Jacobs and THE WIRE co-creator Ed Burns for a drama project that would star Tamblyn as a young teacher in the world of public education in America. The project, which has received a script commitment from the network, is being produced by 20th Century Fox TV.

The fact that every episode began with an illustration of how death can take you at any time, any place (while diving in a pool, getting cut in half in an elevator door, or getting hit by frozen human waste falling from airplanes) didn't make me appreciate the value of life, it scared the hell out of me. It also reinforced my belief that never getting out of bed was probably the safest way to exist, for the time being."
