'General Hospital' Finally Recasting Jeff Webber?

ABC soap opera General Hospital has put out a casting call for a late 50s-early 60s character male character, who might possibly be a long-awaited recast for the role of Jeff Webber, played by Richard Dean Anderson from 1976-1981.

Jeff is the father of Steven Lars, Sarah, Elizabeth and Hayden, and the ex of Monica, Heather and Naomi.

The casting call says GH is seeking a “Caucasian, handsome, dynamic, charismatic: for a “major recurring role”.

Soap Opera Digest asked co-head writers Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante about bringing the character back to town in light of the recent reveal that Jeff is the secret father of Hayden.

The duo teased, “That would be great, wouldn’t it?”
