General Hospital has released a casting notice looking for a female character "originally from Mexico" who has "come to Port Charles to pursue a career in medicine." The character is labeled as a major recurring role with the possibility to become contract.Some have speculated the character might be a Sabrina recast since actress Teresa Castillo is slated to go on maternity leave soon, but that is not the case. This is a new character that will begin taping in May.
