HBO has picked up to series the Untitled Michael Lannan Comedy pilot, which stars GUIDING LIGHT alum Murray Bartlett, former ONE LIFE TO LIVE and GLEE actor Jonathan Groff, and Frankie J. Alvarez.The show, executive produced by Andrew Haigh, Sarah Condon and David Marshall Grant, revolves around three friends in San Francisco, who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men. It was given an eight-episode order by the network.
Production is expected to start in the fall in San Francisco for a 2014 premiere.
Before his stint as Cyrus Foley on GUIDING LIGHT, Bartlett starred in Australian soaps HOME AND AWAY and NEIGHBOURS. He also briefly played a role in ALL MY CHILDREN.
In December 2012, Bartlett (as a producer) won the Muhr Arab Short Best Film award at the 9th Annual Dubai International Film Festival for Noor.
