The call to go ahead with canceling a daytime soap was made a couple of weeks ago, while the final decision to axe both AMC and OLTL was made within the past week, Frons said. He confirmed that there was a brief discussion about a year ago to combine the two soaps into one, bringing together some of the best characters from both series. "It was one of my craziest ideas," Frons said.

ReplyDeleteHe should join the witness protection program! What an a-hole! Replacing a multi-generationally loved show with BS TV talkshows, reality crap and cooking shows is NOT what the viewers want. Maybe he should ask them rather than assuming what we want!

ReplyDeleteSo many incompetent people in high decision posts. I do not watch the ABC soaps but I'm sad for the fans and I know how mad and frustrated they must feel. I still miss Another World and it was cancelled more than 10 years ago.
