Agnes Nixon has released a statement about ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE being canceled by ABC:Said Nixon: “My deep gratitude goes to all the talented people who have contributed to ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE over these many years; we were always family, made up of writers, producers, directors, actors, crews. Equally important in that family are our loyal fans who shared this journey with us. Although ABC has concluded there is no longer a place for our shows on their network, I will do everything possible to keep them alive. God bless you all.”

ReplyDeleteAmen Agnes! Yes please, do whatever it takes. I have been a faithful viewer for over 40 years. I would rather watch these shows when I get home then to watch anything on tv at night.

ReplyDelete42 years Ive watched the abc soaps,I named my daughter after tara martin ,I love erica ,brooke,adam ,vicki, bo, dorian,david vickers,THe day one life to live is over im done with abc .agnes ,I hope you can keep landview and pine valley going ,because I have no idea what Im going to do without my soaps.

ReplyDeleteGod bless you Agnes Nixon I am a loyal follower of All My Children and One Life To Live I watch them each day as I work from home, and each evening on the replay if there is anything that I missed. Your shows have been so wonderful to me bringing me entertainment and making my days (which tend to get very lonely when you work alone in your own living room) brighter. I am so saddened that ABC doesn’t want them anymore I have been pleading with them via email and message boards since the announcement was made, in hopes that they will rescind this awful decision. Your fans are behind you, we do not want this to happen at all. If there is anything that you could possibly do to keep them on the air whether it be reason with ABC or move them to another (more deserving) network I am pleading to you please do so. I cannot imagine my weekdays without them.

ReplyDeleteI would watch no matter where the shows continue to live. Isn't there some cable soap channels. I also want to know that I can keep watching over the web. Even if the show become webbased, I'm sure there would be some advertisers who would invest since these shows have such a large following
