Inside Soap Awards 2010: EASTENDERS Wins Six

EASTENDERS won six awards at the 2010 Inside Soap Awards on Monday night.

The Walford soap took the trophy for Best Actress, awarded to Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater) for the fifth consecutive year, and Sexiest Male, awarded to Scott Maslen, who plays Jack Branning. Charlie Clements as Bradley Branning in EASTENDERS scooped the best exit for his final, fatal plunge from the roof of the Queen Vic.

EMMERDALE celebrated when Danny Miller (pictured above) picked up two awards – one for Best Actor, the other for Best Dramatic Performance for the scene where he admitted the truth about his sexuality to Paddy.

For the second year running, the gorgeous CORONATION STREET's Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) was crowned Sexiest Female.

This year, Best Newcomer was awarded to EASTENDER's Ricky Norwood for his role as Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb. CORRIE's Craig Gazey was awarded Funniest Performance for his portrayal of Graeme Proctor. CORRIE also produced the evening’s youngest award winner, Alex Bain (Simon Barlow), who was crowned Best Young Actor for the second time running.

WATERLOO ROAD was awarded Best Drama for the first time, and by a massive margin.

The accolade of Best Daytime Soap was taken by NEIGHBOURS, with Erinsborough's Ryan Moloney (Toadie Rebecchi) named Best Daytime Star.
