Former AS THE WORLD TURNS star Yvonne Perry (the original Rosanna) is joining the cast of indie soap EMPIRE for the third season. Joining the cast along with Perry will be Mary Leggio, recently featured in Andy Samuburg's digital shorts series on SATURDAY NIGHT LIGHT, as well as Lyric Stage Company veteran Ariel Heller. Perry, Leggio, and Heller join a cast that includes GUIDING LIGHT veterans Tina Sloan and Orlagh Cassidy, as well as EMPIRE break out stars Ryan Clardy and Kathryn Neville Brown. The expanding cast is slated to film their third season in August 2010."Yvonne Perry's experience brings not only an established reputation to our young show, but has helped us combine her familiar soap opera milleu with a new age online channel" said co-creator Greg Turner. "Her expertise, added to our talented GUIDING LIGHT alumni and combined with the excitement and energy of our up-and-coming stars has created an unmatched chemistry." The web sudser’s third outing will also feature an appearance by DAYS OF OUR LIVES fan favorites and real life couple Molly Burnett and Casey Deidrick.
