Marc Cherry mulls exiting DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES
The show's creator is considering handing the show over to somebody else after next season, though he is under contract through 2012. If he leaves, Cherry says he'll still be a consultant for the show. "It's my baby," he says. "I can't let go. I have control issues. They can't totally get rid of me."

The new 90210 season opens with a major event
An earthquake rocks Beverly Hills in the CW drama's Sept. 13 premiere. "We wanted to open the season with an event that has both physical and emotional ramifications for several people," teases co-executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman, who adds that the tremors will prove particularly life-altering for one teen. "One of them has a very serious injury that takes time to resolve and sort of changes the direction of his or her life."

Produced by Tony winner John Logan and Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow (who’s directing the pilot), YEAR centers on a wildly self-destructive and manipulative Broadway composer (played by Broadway vet Norbert Leo Butz) who’s juggling both a challenging new show and his dysfunctional New York family.
