NEWS: 90210, Reeves, Mattson, NEIGHBOURS Celebrates 6,000

90210's gay character revealed?
In newly revealed sides, which also includes a gay character named Ian, it appears The CW tried to conceal Teddy's identity by referring to hm as Caleb, but it seems highly unlikely the show is adding two new gay characters, plus having Teddy come out so deduction says Caleb is really either Teddy, Liam or Navid. The sides have Caleb/Teddy and Ian cleaning gutters on the school roof, apparently as punishment for some altercation that took place when Caleb/Teddy punched Ian at a Bachelor Auction.

TCA: Exec Session With CW President Dawn Ostroff
“As the first network born in the digital age, tapping into all of the different media platforms isn’t just part of our strategy, it’s actually in our DNA, influencing everything that we do,” added Ostroff. “We were the first network to use Twitter and Facebook to connect with our audience and talk about our shows. And what’s interesting is that now Facebook and Google meet with their clients and ask if they could use us as an example as to how they should be using the technology.”

Ostroff, now the longest-running network entertainment president (for 9 years at CW and UPN), says overnight ratings do not matter anymore: "The days of waking up and looking at the overnight ratings are gone, especially for the younger demographic."

UK: TV chiefs get more lather from soaps
THE HOLLYOAKS MUSIC SHOW, which airs during the Saturday morning T4 youth programming slot on the UK’s Channel 4, is just one example of how the soap has adapted to a multimedia world. “It is about extending the brand,” says Lee Hardman, executive producer of the show and head of Conker Media, the digital arm of Lime Pictures, which makes HOLLYOAKS. “We are on the frontier of exploring new territory, and we are lucky that the audience is keen to explore too.”

DAYS changes actress playing Gabi
Gabriela Rodriguez (Gabi) has been let go and replaced with Camila Banus (ex-Lola, OLTL). The move was made to age the character a bit. Banus reports to Salem today, July 30. This comes on the heels of Lindsay Hartley's ouster as Gabi's on-screen sis Arianna.

Fitness Instructor Scott Farris' Popularity Keeps Classes Packed
"My mom’s first cousin, Roger Mooney, is a producer on ALL MY CHILDREN and has won several Daytime Emmys. He and his partner live in the West Village. We go to New York sometimes and he shows us around. His partner is a writer. That has really helped with me because my mom adores her cousin."
