Barbara Windsor to leave Eastenders
Show biz legend Barbara Windsor has announced her plans to leave the popular BBC soap where she’s played Peggy Mitchell for 15 years. Babs looks set to exit Albert Square sometime next year however it’s too early to say whether the door will be left open for a possible return.

Neff found guilty for attacks on two women
After heading into the deliberation room more than a week earlier, a Santa Barbara jury emerged Monday afternoon with a verdict, finding Steven Neff guilty of two counts of attempted sexual penetration with enhancements to the crime that could land him 25 years in state prison when he is sentenced next month.

With Neff taking the stand, prosecutor Ron Zonen was able to introduce as evidence several journals and calendars in which Neff took meticulous notes, often writing down thoughts and dreams, as well as documenting his habitual masturbating. Included were entries about dreams during which he would spy on his girlfriend and later rape her, as well as an incident when he orgasmed while watching a rape scene from a television soap opera.

Nick Zano relocating from COUGAR TOWN to MELROSE PLACE
Zano is in talks to join The CW reboot as a pseudo-replacement for Colin Egglesfield’s dark, brooding Auggie. Zano would be playing a doctor who works with Lauren (Stephanie Jacobsen) and Michael (Thomas Calabro) at Wilshire Memorial.

Sherri Saum lands on GOSSIP GIRL
She will play Holland Kemble, a powerful business executive-turned-Upper East Side trophy wife and could be trouble for Lily (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus (Matthew Settle).

Chenoweth to return to GLEE
The Emmy-winning actress will reprise her role as glee club alum April Rhodes for at least one episode.

Long-running dutch soap scrapped
Long-running soap opera ONDERWEG NAAR MORGEN (On To Tomorrow) will be taken off air next May, the public broadcasting authority said on Wednesday.

EASTWICK burns up
EASTWICK has dropped the moral proselytizing and become what it should have been all along: a silly, feel-good soap opera.

"Somehow the networks decided to forfeit Saturday nights," he says. "You have a massive audience, they're available and they can't find anything to watch."

  2. Sad day for the Dutch soap opera. I haven't watched ONM in years, but it's still sad when a soap gets canceled. The mistake they made was that they wanted to make the show younger. To do that they fired almost all the familiar faces and replaced them with newbies. That never works.

    Producer Endemol is trying to find a new home for the show. Who knows, it happened before, because the show has been aired by different networks in the past.

    If ONM really disappears next year, we'll only have one major soap opera* left, Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden (Good Times Bad Times). Fortunately that show is doing great creatively AND in the ratings.

    * There's also the ten minute soap SpangaS for teens.
