INTERVIEW: David Kreizman Spills!
"I was actually surprised by the nomination this year. I didn't even know it was nomination day until I arrived at the studio that day. And we were in a meeting, so I didn't find out until a little later. Of course, it's always nice to be recognized, but it's a strange year for writers. I think we're all still healing from the strike."

"It's just really nice to have the show be recognized, since it's been a little bit of a drought," said Bruce Evans, who as senior vice president, current series, oversees NBC's daytime division.
"Certainly, ratings are the most important thing, but I really do think that it's a great thing to have your show be acknowledged for delivering quality work," the exec said. "I'm not going to undervalue it. I think it's really important."

Michael Graziadei (Daniel, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS) is off for six weeks to film a movie — The Reef. Daniel will go on tour with Danny starting May 27 — and hopefully have some nice father-son time — and return in July.

Emmy-nominated stars head to Marco for Soapfest
Three daytime TV stars coming to Marco Island for the 10th annual Southwest Florida Soapfest this weekend have been nominated for Emmys. Trent Dawson, Van Hansis and Tom Pelphrey are anxiously awaiting the 35th annual Daytime TV Emmy Awards on June 20.
"My protocol of 'they write and I act' has been appreciated by the writers," says Dawson. "They recognized my great sense of humor and have given me some good zingers. I think the viewers also respond to my humor and in the last few years may even be going, 'Aww Henry.'"
Kreizman should be shocked at his nomination. How he is still employed is beyond me - he's just about killed GL.
