One Life to Live wins DGA Award

The 60th annual Dirctor's Guild of America (DGA) Awards were held last night at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

Director Larry Carpenter and the ONE LIFE TO LIVE team won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime Serials Award for their work on EPISODE #9947.

In that episode, Nash is forced to finish the operation on Antonio by himself, and Michael is leading him through the entire process. Meanwhile, Cristian, Bo, John and the rescue team are working on clearing the damaged area of the hospital. The team helps Michael and Nash finish the operation on Antonio. Jessica is grateful to learn what Nash did for Antonio. Carlotta and Adriana are happy when Cristian informs them about the successful end of the operation. Rex and Roxy are drinking together, and when they see Kirk entering Rodi's, Rex realizes there is something that the man is hiding. He goes to the hospital, where he sees Tate and Adriana in an embrace, and then leaves without saying anything. Miles continues blackmailing Marty into marrying him.

The other members of the directing team include:
Associate Director: Teresa Anne Cicala
Stage Managers: Alan P. Needleman, Keith Greer
Production Associate: Anthony Wilkinson

This was Mr. Carpenter's fifth DGA Award nomination and second win. He previously won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime Serials for One Life To Live "Episode #8849" in 2003 and was nominated for that series for "Episode #9686" in 2006, "Episode #9385" in 2005 and "Episode #8655" in 2002.
