Rowell left the soap in April of this year when her character Drucilla fell off a cliff and "died."
To be fair, a lot of us were excited when Latham was first picked to run the Y&R. The energy *was* new and original. It went downhill when it all went to her head and she fired Smith and Alden and took on the whole business of running the show on her own without any of the "old-hands".
